Just a note about a change in procedure for the site. I am removing “Users” from the site, which means that for the few number of you that did this, there will be no more option to log in and comment on posts or pictures. Sorry, but it turned into more work than I wanted thanks to spam posters out there that I constantly had to delete their registrations.

However, the ability to be notified when I make a new post is still intact, and others can still get on the list simply by adding their email to the Subscribe section in the lower right column.

If you would like to comment on a picture, you can do that through Facebook now. All the pictures are posted on my Facebook page.

Talk to everybody soon (recently took some pictures from our first trip to the Zoo so stay tuned).

I can never leave well enough alone, especially when it comes to the Photo section. So of course, the way it operates has changed again. Unknown to you all out there in the internets, I hated the steps I had to take to get pictures posted. So, after much thought, I have have decided to link the photo section on my facebook account to my photo section here, which makes my life much easier when added photos, and now I don’t have to add them to two different sites.

What does it all mean? Well, the photo section looks a bit different, but there will still be plenty of pictures there to view so when you get a chance, check it out. Of course, I am still added all the older pictures to my facebook right now so it may be a day or two for all the pictures to be there.

Well, I guess I have fallen off on the weekend photo shoots that I had been doing. Sorry about that to those that enjoyed the constant posting of new pictures. I will try to get on the ball this weekend. However, I have made an oh so slight change to the site (which probably only pleases me) but I have made it that the banner across the top of the page (normally a collage of pictures with the text DaMuellers.com over the tope) have the ability to load a different banner each time the screen refreshes. I think it’s cool because it allows me to put up multiple banners and each time you load the page, one is chosen at random, so the site looks new each time. Again, nothing major, but quite the accomplishment for me to figure out how to do it.

That’s all.

(PS: keep refreshing until you see the banner with Rugsy in his cool shades (the newest pictures taken by the old camera phone). He is just too cool for school.)

Looks like the newest feature is up and running now. Well, not really a feature to “this site” but the creation of a Shutterfly page which will allow you, that’s right you, to print out your favorite Rugsy pictures (you can even print out your not so favorite ones).

Here’s the skinny, go to www.DaMuellers.Shutterfly.com click through the various galleries (Month and Year in which photo was taken), add the photos you like to your shopping cart, and then check out and either have the photos printed at a local Target, or have Shutterfly deliver them directly to your door step.

There is now no need to request the full resolution photos from me in order to get a photo printed.

Now, there are still some pictures that you will only see here at DaMuellers.com, but know that every picture that I have taken this year since Rugsy has come along is available at the Shutterfly site, which means there are some pictures there that aren’t here.

And yes, there are more than just Rugsy pictures there, but his face is a better selling point than my mug.

Just added another new feature to the site. It doesn’t effect those of you who receive this notice via an email, but it is handy to know so you can pass the info on to your friends and family.

You can now subscribe to the site, which will automatically notify you every time there is a new posting, just by adding your email address to the subscribe field in the lower right hand column. You will be sent an email to confirm your subscription. Click the link provided in the email and you are all set. From there, each time I make a post, you will automatically receive an email with the contents of that post. You no longer have to “join” or “register” with the site to get these updates.

What a great way to stay up to date on all of the Spec (aka Bugsy) pictures!

Don’t want that to be too misleading, but I have enabled a feature to allow you to check up on the latest posts to the site from your mobile phone’s browser. Granted, you were always able to do so, but it could take some time for the graphics and formatting to load up. That isn’t the case anymore. Basically, when you browse from your mobile phone, the theme of the website is reduced to just the necessary bits and pieces so what you are left with is just the info you desire.

So, how many of you are scratching your heads already? The easiest way to describe it is to just do it. Browse to the site from your phone and see what I mean. Initial screen is nothing but text, from which you can click on any of the posts to see the whole post, including graphics that may have been included in it.

None the less, I think it’s a nice add on, and I’m sure at least one or two of you out there will agree.

No new pictures here, but I did make it a much more enjoyable experience. I finally figured out how to fix the browsing from picture to picture when you are looking at one of the galleries (I suggest Spec 2008 – he’s just so cute) so that it’s a better viewing experience. Not sure what I mean, then take a test spin. Once you click to view one of the pictures, it basically opens in a separate window with navigation links at the bottom to go to the next picture, view the full size picture, view the previous picture, or close the window and go back to the gallery view. It’s a lot better than having the entire page reload and forcing you to scroll up and down to navigate to the next picture.

None the less, a better experience brings even more smiles.

Thanks for viewing.

I know this has nothing to do with our family, but it was something that Sarah and I thoroughly enjoyed on Sunday night.

It’s the 2008 Espy Awards given by ESPN to athletes, teams, and whatnot, voted by the fans, who were the best athlete, best team, best moment, etc.

None the less, here is the 2008 Espy’s, broken into 10 parts since you can only post roughly 10 minutes clips on youtube.

Part 1
